Terms and Conditions

1. General Terms

No purchase or participation fees are necessary to enter or win a prize. All applicable federal, state, provincial, local, and municipal laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited.

The AI for Architecture Pitch Off (the “Competition”) is organized and sponsored by Cove Tool, Inc. (“cove” or “Sponsor”). For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions:

“Sponsor” includes Cove Tool, Inc., its affiliates, partners, employees, and any entities directly involved in the Competition.
“Entrant” refers to an individual or team registering for the Competition.
“Submission” refers to the pitch deck and executive summary submitted by an Entrant as part of the Competition.
“Judges” refers to the pre-selected panel evaluating the submissions.

The use and disclosure of personal information provided by the Entrant are subject to cove’s privacy policy.

2. Entrant Eligibility

Open to individuals and teams (max 5 members per team). No professional qualification is required.
Entrants must be at least 18 years old at the time of submission.
Prohibited Countries: Individuals or teams residing in, based in, or affiliated with organizations from U.S.-sanctioned countries are not eligible to enter. This includes, but is not limited to, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, and others per U.S. sanctions.
Submissions must be original work and not previously commercialized.
Employees of Cove Tool, Inc., members of the judging panel, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
All submissions and correspondence must be in English.

3. Submission Guidelines

Submissions must include:
- Pitch Deck (Max 5 slides) – A structured visual summary of the idea.
- Executive Summary (1-page) – Outlines the problem, AI solution, and impact.
No Video Required for Submission: Only a pitch deck and executive summary are required.
Deadline: April 8, 2025, at 11:59 PM ET (No late submissions will be accepted).
Submission Format: Must be in PDF format.
Submission Portal: Entries must be uploaded via the designated submission portal (TBD).

4. Intellectual Property & Rights

All submissions must be original work created solely by the Entrant(s).
Entrants retain full ownership of their submission. However, by submitting an entry, Entrants grant Cove Tool, Inc. a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to publish, promote, and share submission materials for marketing and promotional purposes.
Entrants warrant that their submission does not infringe any existing copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights. Entrants shall indemnify and hold cove harmless against any legal claims resulting from their submission.

5. Competition Integrity

Anonymity of Submissions: Judges will not be given the identity of the Entrants until after the final selection of the five finalists.
No Communication with Judges: Entrants may not contact or communicate with any judge regarding the Competition during the judging period.
No Identifying Marks: Submissions must not include any logos, watermarks, or personal identifiers.

6. Selection & Judging Criteria

Finalist Selection Process

All eligible submissions will be reviewed by cove’s internal team between April 9-10, 2025.
The top five (5) submissions will be selected as finalists and notified by April 10, 2025.
Only these five finalists will advance to the final round and present their pitches to the judging panel.

Final Round Format

Each of the five finalists will present their 3-minute pitch + 2-minute Q&A (pre-recorded).
Judges will watch the pitches live and score submissions based on the following 100-point system:

Criteria & Max Points

Innovation & Creativity - 30 points
Feasibility & Scalability - 25 points
Impact on the Architecture Industry - 25 points
Presentation Quality - 20 points
Total Possible Score - 100 points

Judging Process & Winner Selection

Each judge will score independently, and scores will be averaged to determine rankings.
In the event of a tie, the highest score in Innovation & Creativity will serve as a tiebreaker.
The winner will be announced live during the April 17, 2025 event.
Judges' decisions are final and not subject to appeal.

7. Prizes & Awards

Grand Prize: One (1) winning team will receive:
- $5,000 cash prize USD (subject to applicable taxes).
- Feature in cove’s industry newsletter and other marketing materials and activities.
- Opportunity to pitch a real investor.
No Prize Transfers: Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable.
Winner Announcement: The winning team will be notified via email and announced publicly during the live event on April 17, 2025.
Claiming the Prize: Winners must claim the prize within 30 days of notification. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture.

8. Disqualification & Compliance

Submissions that fail to meet the guidelines or violate these Terms and Conditions may be disqualified.
Late submissions received after April 8, 2025, at 11:59 PM ET will not be considered.
Plagiarism, fraud, or misrepresentation in any form will result in immediate disqualification.

9. Publicity & Promotion

By participating, Entrants agree to allow cove to use their names, likenesses, and competition details for marketing and promotional purposes without additional compensation.
Winning and finalist entries may be published on cove’s website, social media, and industry publications.

10. Additional Terms

Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Competition if unforeseen circumstances arise.
These Terms and Conditions were last updated on February 13, 2025. cove reserves the right to modify them at any time.
Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, USA.
