The Farm Museum at Autrey Mill Nature Preserve occupies one of the original agricultural buildings on the 46-acre heritage site. The design restores the structure while adding the accessibility, safety, and climate control a working museum needs, without losing the character that makes the building worth preserving in the first place. Exhibit planning follows the sequence of farm life from cultivation to harvest, using the preserved implements and spaces already on site to tell the story rather than replacing them with reproductions. The layout accommodates school field trips and family visits with flexible tour routes that work for different age groups and group sizes.
