Flinthill Road breaks the building into smaller residential forms rather than a single institutional mass, creating neighborhoods within the facility that feel closer to home. Unit configurations are flexible enough to accommodate changing care needs so residents can age in place without relocating. Walking distances between common areas are minimized while preserving residents’ autonomy and choice of movement. The design accommodates intergenerational programming with local schools and community groups.
