What is 2030 DDx Reporting?

2030 DDx Reporting is the process through which architecture and design firms submit data as part of the American Institute of Architects (AIA)’s 2030 Commitment. This initiative aligns with the Architecture 2030 Challenge, aiming to achieve carbon neutrality in building design by the year 2030. Firms participating in this commitment track and report on building performance metrics—primarily energy usage and carbon emissions—using the Design Data Exchange (DDx) platform. This structured approach enables firms to measure progress, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to the broader goal of mitigating climate change.
