ATLANTA – cove is pleased to announce that Patrick Chopson, AIA, Co-Founder and Principal Architect, was featured this morning on WXIA station, 11Alive. The interview highlighted cove’s architectural leadership in the revitalization of the historical Ashby Theater, a 1930s-era cultural landmark located in Atlanta’s Westside.

Designated by the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation as a “Place in Peril,” the Ashby Theater is undergoing a transformative restoration to secure its future as a community anchor. The project is being led by cove’s architectural team, including Principal Architects Ed Akins and Luca Maffey, in close collaboration with the Atlanta Business League (ABL) and with partner architect Norris Hunt and his associates at the Atlanta architecture firm Goode Van Slyke.

The restoration project of Ashby Theater aims to serve as a flexible community gathering space, one that reflects the neighborhood’s history while supporting its ongoing evolution.
